CFP (Cold Fusion
Phenomenon) stands for gnuclear reactions and accompanying events occurring
in solids with high densities of hydrogen isotopes (H and/or D) in ambient
radiation.h
This is the CFRL News (in English) No. 54 for Cold Fusion researchers published by Dr. H. Kozima, now at the Cold Fusion Research Laboratory, Shizuoka, Japan.
This issue contains following item:
1. Reports
of Cold Fusion Research Laboratory (Reports of CFRL) is started.
2. The 5th ASTI Workshop in Italy will be held on March
19-24.
3DL. Sapogin, gUnitary
Quantum Mechanics and New Energy Sourceh was published.
4. hBubble Fusionh was confirmed.
PDReports of Cold
Fusion Research Laboratory (Reports of
CFRL) is published.
We have lost several media to
publish our works in the cold fusion phenomenon (CFP) in these years. It will
be a view to recognize a limit of established means of presenting our work in a
area of critical frontiers as CFP. There are efforts to secure own media in our
field such as the establishment of International Society of Condensed Matter
Nuclear Science (ISCMNS) as reported in the previous issue of this
News (CFRL News No.53). I have personally decided to start an electronic
journal Reports of Cold Fusion
Research Laboratory (Reports of CFRL) to publish our works in CFP by our own responsibility as
the research work should be so not relying on authority.
The
papers will be posted on the CFRL Website:
http://www.geocities.jp/hjrfq930/Papers/paperr/paperr.html
The first paper published in this journal is
gAnalysis of Zn and Excess Heat Generation in Pd/H2 (D2) System by TNCF Modelh by H. Kozima, K. Yoshimoto1, H. Kudoh2 M. Fujii2 and M. Ohta3
done several years ago.
Comments and Opinions on these papers published in this journal are welcome. Send them to cf-lab.kozima@nifty.ne.jp if any. Communication in this field in any form will help development of our research and development in CFP.
QDThe 5th ASTI Workshop in Italy
will be held on March 19-24..
It is posted in the
homepage of International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS)
that the 5th ASTI workshop will be held in Italy as
follows. A part of the Program is cited below.

RDL. Sapogin, gUnitary Quantum Mechanics and New Energy Sourceh
(in Russian)was published.
Russian physicist L. Sapogin has been working to develop a new framework of quantum mechanics called gUnitary Quantum Mechanicsh and to apply it to CFP published a new book:
L.G. Sapogin, Yu.A. Ryabov, and V.I.
Uchakin, gUnitary Quantum Theory and New Energy Sourceh 173 pages, MADI (GTU),
Moscow, 2003.
From the preface of this book, we know that this book is published from MADIiMoscovskobo Automobilno-Dorojnobo Institutaj(State University of Technology) as a textbook for seniors, graduates and researchers in this university compiled from a book to be published in English using one third of materials in the book.
L. Sapogin proposed his Unitary Quantum Mechanics (UQM) several years before in several papers and proceedings with difficulty to understand it fully. This presentation as a book will help us to know it more correctly. Explanation of CFP by UQM is given in the Chapter 14 for 13 pages. We will check the explanation in future issues.
The introduction written on the back of the title page says the content of this book as follows:
gIn this book, it is given an introduction to Unitary Quantum Theory by Professor L. Sapogin and also explanations of experimental facts in the cold fusion phenomenon and several new phenomena obtained in search of new energy sources including the Potapovfs heat generator, the proton conducting ceramics, and other systems by UQT. It is also given explanation of possible gperpetual engineh and its work by UQT. Automobile which works on water is investigated.h
In the Chapter 14, there are written several reaction formulas such as d + d = t + p, Mn + p, etc. UQT should give the same result as the ordinary quantum mechanics when it was applied to a problem, in my opinion. To realize these reactions in solids at room temperature, it should be given clues that make the difference plausible. This point will be checked in the future investigation.
SDhBubble Fusionh
was confirmed.
The Press Release of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute announced as follows:
gResearchers
Report Bubble Fusion Results Replicatedh
hPhysical Review E publishes paper on fusion experiment conducted with
upgraded measurement systemh
Details of this release is posted at the Website of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute:
http://www.rpi.edu/web/News/press_releases/2004/lahey.htm
As was reported in CFRL News Nos. 33 and 38, the bubble fusion have been investigated for many years also in the cold fusion community. It is clear that there occur fusion reactions of deuterons when necessary conditions of the reaction are realized in a bubble. Several papers were presented in the former ICCFs including Dr. K. Fukushima of Joetu University of Education (Proc. ICCF5, pp. 523-530, 1995).
About this news, Bob Park of What New in APS Website writes as follows:
g --- But now Taleyarken has new results that some say are more convincing. Perhaps we should wait for independent confirmation. Cold fusion, of course, still has believers, but not much confirmation.h (WN, 5 Mar 04)
It is difficult to understand appearance of the gcold fusionh and gbelieversh in this sentence. It seems very difficult to have a right viewpoint if one is once trapped in a wrong position. There are too many evidences in CFP to loose the point if there are no prejudices.
